Look of the Week: Amber's Rosebud

Congrats to my favorite preggo Amber Rose on her new toddler bundle of joy!! No seriously, it seemed like Amber Rose was pregnant FOREVER. But hers was one of my favorite pregnancy looks. Always with her signature denim vest and a smile. It's amazing the difference a smile makes *ahem* Kimmy K. Amber looked like she really enjoyed her pregnancy and looked great doing it. 

So in honor of Amber, we created a spring look with our red dress and a denim polka dotted vest. Tie the bird scarf as a headband or wrap to add some extra fun to the look.

Look Of The Week - Bey Perfect

I watched Beyonce's documentary over the weekend and was inspired to create a Bey worthy maternity look from our store. Here's the look I'm using for inspiration (from our EMP Mommies Pinterest Board).

I love that there isn't anything fussy about this look. Its pretty straight forward. Leggings, a shirt, a jacket and some heels. Pretty simple, but also chic and edgy. So I started with our mauve tunic, to add in a prep factor. Paired it with sequined leggings, for the edge. And added a few more accessories for interest and here's the look.

Look of the Week: Blazers, Denim & Prints

Welcome to our Edgy Meet Preppy blog! Each week we will style looks from our retail site. This week, we are jazzing up our black blazer and medium wash maternity jeans.  

To add a little spice to the ever versatile blazer, I paired it with a cognac and black leopard print scarf. Additional accessories include basic patent coral pumps (or flats if you are not able to wear heels), gold, black and white bangles and button pearl earrings.  To finish off the look, an additional color was mixed in by incorporating a royal blue purse. To keep this look chic, wear a plain white cami under the blazer.

Look Of the Week: Pink & Plaid

Welcome to our Edgy Meet Preppy blog! Each week we will style looks from our retail site. This week, we are starting with our great pink coat and plaid dress. 

To make the look interesting, I opted for another pattern in the tights that will compliment the plaid but would add some character to the look. And to keep this from going TOO girly, pretty, pink, I added blue moccasins.
